  It does occur to me that as absinthe vendors, several of this papers' authors have a direct financial stake in demonstrating that modern absinthes following EU regulatory limits are "authentic" and comparable to pre-ban absinthes. That doesn't mean this paper isn't important, but that fact isn't even disclosed in this paper, which I think is a rather glaring omission.
